Storage... Organizing, unpacking, storage, trash, etc. HHHHMMMM.... It's been almost 3 weeks since we moved to our new loft. It seems that we haven't done anything as we are surrounded by boxes and boxes and boxes. When will it end???? We've thrown away several "junk" and it seems that there's more!!!

Happy Halloween???? Halloween was a quiet night tonight. After driving 2 hours after work in rain through the LA traffic, I think I deserve a rest. Driving through the 101 N/B to LA is more than hectic. There was no accident at all. I can understand being cautious. But some are overly cautious to the point that they leave a 3 -5 car gap creating more traffic and breaking the flow. On top of that, there are those SUV drivers who are just JERKS! They think that they own the road jus because they drive a $45.000+ car.

What do I mean????? I was at the 101 n/b junction toward Universal Studios. As most drivers, I think most of us try to follow the law. This JERK on a gold/tan Mercedes SUV decided that he cannot wait. He took it upon himself to flash his hazards on as if there was an emergency and drive through the emergency lane on the right. As he approached the Vineland exit, he suddenly swooped infront of another vehicle and de-activated his emergency lights. See what I mean??? AAARRRRGGGHHH!!!!!

LA traffic.... it took me about 2 hours to get home today!!!! on a thursday!!!! the freeway was not moving. the 101 is one of the worst freeway!!!!

loft.... the loft is a mess!!!! there's boxes and boxes and boxes. it should take a while to get situated.

comcast cable.... we are having comcast cable installed over the weekend. hhhmmm.... i just hope that it's good. after having directv, i think it's hard to go back to cable. i guess it's better than no cable. we need to hook up the TIVO again for my favorite shows.

moving....we just moved from one loft to another. we were living at the factory place loft near j-town. now, we live at the american cement building (see article) lofts near macarthur park. the only negative things about the new loft was that our rent increased. it's a litlle more than our previous rent (even w/ the rent increase). the other negative thing is NO DIRECTV. however, there's a lot of positive things.

> LOTS OF WINDOWS (we only had ONE window before)

moving.... we've been moving for the past two weeks. today is the last day that we're suppose to be out of the loft. hhhmmm.... we're almost done! we either have massive amounts of stuff or just junk!!!! the worst part about moving is that last weekend, the freight elevator broke down. there goes our move! we wasted so much time. our new loft is awesome! we don't need to open the a/c for air. THERE'S LOTS OF WINDOWS! we can actually have "fresh LA smog air". the loft we had at factory place just had ONE WINDOW at the far end of the loft. so we had 3 fans going plus a/c all the time just for the air to circulate. it's always stuffy in there.

we'll definitely miss some of our neighbors. we have become good friends w/ some of them especially the novotnys. they are such a cool couple!

my bro, dennis, even moved too! he now has his bachelor pad. i wonder if he'll fix it up. we were watching trading spaces and queer eye for the straight guy regularly to get some design tips.

spenser the lab.... spenser has grown over the past few weeks. he is such a picky dog! we just changed his food from nutro to natural balance. it seems that he likes it much better than nutro. we just thought him how to "shake". he's so cute!

new job.... i got a new job in camarillo. camarillo!!!! that's far!!!! well, a job is a job. it's so hard to find a job near home right now. no one's hiring at all. the ones that i've interviewed with were not paying the rate i want either. hopefully, i'll find one close to home.

TIVO.... I LOVE MY TIVO!!! well, i'm suffering from a tivo withdrawal. it's been almost two weeks since i've watched my favorite shows.... law and order, queer eye for the straight guy, third watch, mi5, trading spaces, iron chef, whoopi .... i think i'm forgetting something.

bike ride well, we did the long beach bike ride this weekend... 26 miles!!!! it was a good route except that there were too many inclines... gotta increase my biking stamina.


blog....it seems that i wrote a lot today on my blog. well, i haven't done this for a long time. it's kinda good to write a blog entry regularly because you can go back and reflect what you did at a particular time or just freely write on whatever comes to your mind. besides, i'm suffering from an internet withdrawal. not only that we didnt have net access for almost two weeks, we dont have net access at my work at all!!!! i havent found out why we dont have net access. hhhmmm.... i need to find out.

i was reading manny's gf shannon's blog. it was really interesting. i liked her blog. in fact, i think she's cool. i definitely could talk to her. i'm always weary about talking to girls. i usually have more guy friends than girls so it's kinda cool that we get along pretty well. well, gotta go! i have to finish packing.

puppy blog...

neil and i are planning to get a puppy soon. i've created a blog so everyone can see his development. we haven't decided on a name yet.

Last time I cheated???? Cant remember, I usually cheat on my diet, I don't really follow the regimen I set up for myself.

2. When was the last time you stole?
I dont.

3. When was the last time you lied?
Recent, little white lie (regarding thank you cards). I'm suppose to send them but I haven't yet. It's so hard to write thank you cards after your wedding. It's so many of them.

4. When was the last time you broke or vandalized another's property?
Never.

5. When was the last time you hurt a loved one
When you say things you don't mean or you mean something but you say it differently.

The Ring...I just watched the "The Ring". It was so scary!!! I was covering my face half of the time! I think the story was good. Basically, the story is about people dying after watching the tape. After seven days, you will die. It was caused by a girl Samara Morgan who was murdered by her own mother. The girl became a vengeful spirit continuing to kill even after her body was discovered. The only way you'll survive is if you make a copy of the tape. I don't think I could sleep tonight. It's so scary. The graphics was too realistic for me. My hubby Neil and friend Lance is still watching the tape with a different version.

It's FRIDAY...It's been a long, slow week at work. There's a lot of work but time was just slow. One of my co-workers was let go today. He was called in to the manager's office and was informed that today was his last day. He was a really smart, nice man. He's like a grandpa here at work. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Reason? Our volume at work has been low. Hope I'm not next. My pending files are really low.

Home improvement...Since we can't afford to buy a house, condo, etc right now, Neil and I decided to re-model our loft and make it habitable and presentable. We figured that we'll probably be living in the loft for at least 2 years since we have to save money. We're probably going to Home Depot this weekend.

I don't remember having my first best friend. We moved a lot and we were constantly with our yayas (nanny) all the time when we were younger. I would say my friend Dennis is my best friend since I've known him since 9th grade.

2. Are you still in touch with this person?
Yes.

3. Do you have a current close friend?
Yeah! My hubby Neil is my best fried.

4. How did you become friends with this person?
We were introduced by his brother and childhood friend.

5. Is there a friend from your past that you wish you were still in contact with? Why?
Probably friends from junior high and high school to see how they're doing.

it's been a little over a month since i entered anything in my blogger. i've been so busy. lots of things have happened. well, i should try to provide you a little more info next time.

Where is Raed ?

i just read the blog of raed from iraq. it was really shocking for me to read the account of the bombings. i'm against this war was with war but it does not mean i'm not patriotic towards the united states.
i don't dislike the iraqi people, i just do not like saddam hussein. (i don't think i have any acquaintance of iraqi descent)
i have several simple questions that i still need to answer.
1. why is it that the bush administration could not wait and resolve this issue with iraq diplomatically?
2. what is wrong with giving the inspectors more time?
3. the bush administration has been in office for 2 years = 2 wars (afghanistan and iraq) who's next for the next two years?
4. what if the "coalition forces" are unable to find any "weapons of mass destruction"? how do you justify the war?
5. tax cuts?????? during war??????? who's the economic expert that came up with this idea?

it's been a real trying time the past few months due wedding planning. the good thing is that my mom and my future mother-in-law get along. the bad thing? hhhhmmmm....
most of our vendors have been booked except for the florist and the cake. we'll see what happens. i still have to do my taxes.

FAST FORWARD....a brand new year 2003!

A lot has happened since the passing of the new year. Two of my close friends, Laila and Victoria, are both expecting. But most of all, most of my precious time has been taken up by my upcoming wedding. Preparing for a wedding is probably the most stressful thing I've ever done! It's more stressful than my job! That being said, there are other things that I've done. I participated at the Nike One Hit Wonder 5K Run and the 2003 LA Acura Bike Ride in conjunction with the LA Marathon. That was so much fun! I'm looking forward to next year.

October 2002... It's been a LONG time since I wrote anything on my blog. The last few months have been hectic. I started my new job in Century City. Neil works two blocks away. We're able to carpool and eat lunch together. Halloween! We watched "Eight Legged Freaks" on video.

November 2002...Thanksgiving was at the loft this year - with both families (Neil and my family) in the loft. I cooked turkey under the scrutiny of the parents. I think my turkey was juicy enough!

December 2002...Christmas was spent at Neil's parents house. Both families were also together.
